NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN: The Regular Town Board Meetings for the Town of Scott have changed. They will now be held throughout 2025 at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at The Town of Scott, Town Hall at 6689 State Route 41 Homer, NY 13077. The dates are as follows. March 10, 2025, April 14, 2025, May 12, 2025, June 9, 2025, July 14, 2025, August 11, 2025, September 8, 2025, October 14, 2023, November 10, 2025, December 8, 2025, by order of the Town of Scott Town Board.

Town of Scott Residents may bring the following items to the site of the Highway garage/salt shed at 438 Ripley hill cross rd.                 

Hours and Days of OPERATION

SATURDAY May 17^th From 8:00 am ‘till 4:00 pm (Closed from 12:00-12:30) for lunch. CLOSED SUNDAY

There will be no fee for these items:

-white goods, steel, iron, tin,

-Small bundles of yard waste, 7’ long and 4’’ in Diameter

-Other Refuse at the discretion of the attendants.         

-Nails to be removed or bent over!! Screws & other Sharp or loose objects to be in an enclosed container.

LOADS MUST BE SEPARATED

MIXED LOADS WILL BE PULLED TO THE SIDE TO ALLOW SEPERATED MATERIALS TO BE UNLOADED

Under NO circumstances shall the following be brought:

-Hazardous materials or their containers

-paint cans with Any liquid left in them

-Household Garbage, (i.e. food wastes)

No item will be accepted after Saturday the 17th at 4:00 pm

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL (Pursuant to Section 506 and 1526 for the real property Tax Law) Notice is hereby given as of May, 2025, The Assessor for the Town of Scott, County of Cortland, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy has been left at the Town Clerk’s Office where IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TOWN CLERK’S HOURS AND OFFICE POLICY, it may be seen and examined by any interested person until Grievance Day by appointment only. The tax roll will also be available for viewing online at www.cortland- co.org/195/Real-Property-Tax- Service per the requirement of RPTL section 1590(2) Grievance Day for the Town of Scott will be May 28, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 pm, at the Scott Town Hall 6689 State Route 41, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing themselves to be aggrieved. Complaints must be filed on form RP524. This form is available at www.tax.ny.gov or at the Town of Scott Clerk’s Office during her office hours.
