Town of Scott Services and Fees
Tax Collection- Tax Collection starts January 1st and continues through May 31. After May 31st payments need to be made to Cortland County Finance.
Disabled Parking Permits – There are no fees for parking tags. You will need a MV-664.1 form signed by your doctor. You can get this form in the clerk’s office or from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles website. Permanent tags are issued for up to a 3-year period and temporary tags are issued for up to a 6-month period.
Marriage License– $40.00 You will need a copy of both your birth certificates and divorce decrees (if applies), Social Security Cards, and photo ID such as NYS Drivers Licenses.
Zoning Book Copies– $10.00 each copy
Certified Copies of Birth and Death Copies– $10.00. In accordance to the HIPPA law, you must have provided ID.
Hunting & Fishing Licenses– Now Available!
Dog License and Fees– New York State Law requires all dogs four months and old be licensed. The license fee for spay/neutered dogs is $7.50 and unalter dog fees are $15.00. You must have proof from a veterinarian stating they are altered to receive the lower cost. You must also have proof that your dog has a current vaccination for rabies.
Dog Impoundment Fee: First offense is $30.00; Second offense is $50.00 and Third offense is $70.00.
