MOWING LOCATIONS: ALL LAWNS TO BE MAINTAINED
- Scott Highway garage, 438 Ripley Hill Rd.
- Scott Town Hall, 6689 State Route 41
- Country Side Acres, Park and Pump House, Cutler Road and Sunnyside Drive
- Andrew Fuller Park, 7330 Glen Haven Rd.
- Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery, 6619-6931 State Route 41
- Brook Cemetery, 6505 Cold Brook Rd.
- Gillett Cemetery, Switch Rd.
- Second Pump House
LIMITED CONDITIONS OF THE BIDDING PROCESS
- PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS MUST USE THIS FORM TO SUBMIT THEIR BID. THIS BID
FORM WILL REPRESENT THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN AND THE
CONTRACTOR IF THE BID IS ACCEPTED BY THE TOWN.
- ANY QUESTIONS ON THE WORK OR DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN
WRITING TO THE TOWN SUPERVISOR VIA EMAIL OR USPS NO LATER THAN 2
DAYS PRIOR TO THE BID CLOSING DATE.
- ALL SEALED BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE TOWN CLERK OR PRESENTED IN
PERSON TO THE CLERK BY 11:00 AM ON APRIL 25, 2026.
BIDS WILL BE OPENED APRIL 25, 2026.
FREQUENCY OF THE WORK
- BETWEEN MAY 1ST AND OCTOBER 31' UNLESS DIRECTED OTHERWISE BY THE
TOWN SUPERVISOR OR DESIGNEE.
- OVERALL DURATION = 23 WEEKS
- ALL MOWING LOCATIONS SHALL BE MOWED AND TRIMMED ONCE PER WEEK
UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED UPON BY THE TOWN AND CONTRACTOR FOR
REASONS SUCH AS THE PROPERTIES ARE TOO WET OR TOO DRY.
OTHER TERMS OF THE CONTRACT AND WORK.
- IN ADDITION TO MOWING, WORK INCLUDES TRIMMING ALL ABOVE GROUND
FEATURES BY WEEDEATER, REMOVING ACCUMULATED PAPERS, TRASH OR
SIMILAR DEBRIS FROM THE SITE AND BLOWING OFF SIDE WALK AREA OF GRASS
CLIPPINGS.
- EACH PROPERTY SHALL BE MAINTAINED SO THAT THE GRASS IS NO MORE
THAN 6 INCHES TALL AND NO LESS THAN 3 INCHES TALL.
- THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT MONTHLY PAYMENT REQUESTS WITH
MONIES DUE PAID WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER THE MONTHLY SCOTT TOWN BOARD MEETING. PAYMENT REQUESTS SHALL ONLY BE SUBMITTED FOR WORK THAT WAS ACTUALLY COMPLETED.
- ALL BIDDERS MUST CARRY AND MAINTAIN FOR THE DURATRION OF THE WORK A $1,000,000 COMMERICAL LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY.
NOTE: Submit a current original insurance company issued certificate of insurance attached to the bid form.
- THE TOWN OF SCOTT OR THE MOWINF CONTRACTOR HAS THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT AT ANY TIME WITH A WRITTEN NOTICE OF 14 DAYS.
- ALL WORK WILL BE PERFORMED IN A PROFESSIONAL, SKILLFUL MANNER AND INCLUDE A GUARANTUU OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
- CONTRACTOR SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, THE TOWN OF SCOTT INCLUDING THE EMPLOYEES AND OFFICERS FROM AND AGAINST ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, AND LIABILITIES ARISING FROM THE CONTRACTOR’S ACTIONS, FAILURE TO ACT AND NEGLIGENCE.
- THE TOWN OF SCOTT IS TAX EXEMPT
